When I was little, my father taught me to care for my bicycle – wash it on weekends and grease the bearings when necessary. This sparked a lifelong passion for helping things and people be the best they could be. This foundational lesson in stewardship and care has profoundly influenced my career and my work in coaching.
Currently, as a Service Delivery Manager for a multinational IT organisation, I focus on maximising customer value and mitigating risks. My approach is rooted in the belief that effective leadership and service delivery are about nurturing growth and potential.
My academic journey reflects my passion for continuous learning. I hold multiple qualifications in business, psychology, biblical archaeology, and spirituality. In 2022, I earned my PhD, on the topic of contemplative leadership. My academic contributions include an article on The contemplative spirituality of Thomas Merton (1915-1968) and more recently a chapter on contemplative research in the Routledge International Handbook of Research Methods.
My passion for leadership and leadership development led me to complete the Soul of Leadership and Source Enabled Leadership executive programmes. Currently, I co-facilitate the Soul of Leadership programme. I also actively participate in professional communities as the treasurer of SPIRASA and a member of INSS.
Outside of my professional life, I find joy and fulfillment in family and community. I live in Johannesburg with my wife, Carien. We have two wonderful adult children who are finding their own meaning in life.
